Who’s the girl that swapped finance for the front row?
Magazine publisher and consultant Caroline Issa is well known as a perennial street style favorite. As chief executive and fashion director of London-based biannual title Tank and editor of online magazine Because, the Montreal native doesn’t miss any of the fashion week circuit and often photographed by bloggers and photographers like Scott Schuman and Garance Doré.
Transferring from finance to the front row was an easy move: “After a few years as a consultant, I was ready to make decisions rather than just research and advise. Plus, I wanted to get back to an industry I loved (I spent a summer in Milan at seventeen – I was a terrible model!) but in a position where I could have an input.”
Today Issa spends most of her time between Tank magazine, Becauselondon.com and Tank Form consulting. She is currently the external examiner for Central Saint Martin’s MA Journalism and Fashion Promotion courses.
