Fashion Icon: the Russian Queen

“I have been interested in fashion for ages. I always dreamed, even as a child, of wearing couture. I never thought couture would somehow end up being associated with to my own name, that my wishes would come true. It’s so amazing,”

In case you didn’t  figure it out yet, I’m talking about the Russian fashion designer Ulyana Sergeenko. She is known as the Russian lady, a Russian matryoshka and a style icon à la russe.

She was born in a small village in Kazakhtan, but soon moved with her family in St. Petersburg. She always call herself “ a small girl, from a small village” and that is true, that small girl conquered the runways of Paris next to Dior, Givenchy, Valentino. She had her sense of fashion  since she was little, but she succeeded in creating the clothes she wanted after her marriage with the Russian  billionaire, Danil Khachaturov when the house of Ulyana Sergeenko was founded.

Now at her 35 years old she has a happy marriage, two kids, a business and a lot of success. She is know not only for her beauty, but also for her sense of style.

It’s not only Russian stars who are wearing Ulyana Sergeenko lines these days either, but American celebrities, too, such as Dita Von Teese, Lady Gaga, Rita Ora. Singer Beyoncé recently appeared in her new “Haunted” video wearing a velvet bodysuit with a white frill from Sergeenko’s autumn-winter collection.

Let’s convince yourself from her unique style!
